About Us
 Hello!
I'm Carla Blazek, the creator, candle-maker and soul proprietor of zena
moon.
We are a small company located in the lush Pacific Northwest countryside
northeast of Seattle. (Meet the women, men and dogs
of zena moon here.)
The Story (So Far)
zena moon
began in 1999 when I believed I was risking everything by
abandoning my high-tech career in order to better live my Soul Purpose, which
is to help others (and myself) honor
exactly who we are, where we are, on our journey through life.
I've
always been a candle nut, and for years made scented candles for family and friends. As
requests kept pouring in and I saw how much my corporate job drained me
while candle-making nourished me, it became clear that candles could be a bigger part
of my path. So, with great support from friends, family and Spirit alongside
a hefty dose of fear, I kissed Corporate America goodbye and gave birth
to zena moon.
 Since then, life has been a
daring adventure that is sometimes scary, sometimes overwhelming, but
nearly always
magical and fulfilling! One of zena moon's first orders was from a close
friend of Oprah's, given as a gift to Oprah. Talk about a sign I
was on the right path! Many blessings have followed, including Oprah personally
choosing my candles for her Live Your Best Life Tour, along with a
mention in People magazine. Bestselling author SARK
has recommended my candles in her monthly e-letter. I am having the time of my life,
and the joy I feel doing what I love, every day, is
expressed in both what I create and how I run my company.
And . . . candles are just the beginning.
I am also a writer, working on my first book. (OK, I'm not counting the
books I wrote, illustrated and bound with yarn or staples between the
ages of 5 and 10. They were creative and unique, and should be
counted!) It's going to be a fabulous book and I hope you'll stay tuned.

lot of people ask where I got the name zena moon:
zena (zhay-na): means woman in
Czech (my heritage)
moon: honors the power, cycles and light reflected throughout our lives
 We
are a
dog-friendly company, to say the least! Elliott inspired and proudly

comfort candle was inspired by Ranger,
who passed over the Rainbow Bridge in February 2003. My crazy princess
Lucy inspired our upcoming "puppy love" gift set; and
our newest boy, Silas, is living proof that
this too shall pass.

The Human Touch
Our lightly scented candles are made by hand from
start to finish, as are most of the products in our
gift sets. I believe in quality vs. quantity and am dedicated to
upholding the personality and deeper meaning that only hand-crafted
items can offer. Our products are created prayerfully, with TONS of enjoyment. We love what we do!
Giving Back
zena moon actively practices gratitude and
sharing. Each quarter, I
select a charitable organization to donate a portion of all online sales
to. The current month's organization is always listed on our
home page.
We also frequently participate in
other charitable giving, both locally and nationally.
