About This Candle Ah, elusive rest. How often do we find ourselves saying, "I need to rest," only to override that need with more doing, thinking or planning? What I've learned is that true rest is more than taking a quiet bath or reading a novel once a month. It's the experience of deep inner stillness. Resting body, mind and spirit. Especially mind. Rest is not a luxury, it is an essential need, which I'm exploring at length in the book I'm writing about the necessity of rest. This candle is for all the do-ers who desperately need to allow more time as be-ers (myself included).
